Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qiruiweishu capsule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the Jiangsu Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic gastritis, including chronic erosive gastritis. The formulation is designed to address TCM syndrome patterns such as spleen-stomach qi deficiency and stasis-heat. In clinical practice and research, it is often evaluated as an adjunctive therapy to conventional Western treatments like proton pump inhibitors (e.g., rabeprazole). Clinical studies, including Phase 4 trials, have assessed its efficacy in improving gastroscopic mucosal outcomes, reducing TCM syndrome scores (such as epigastric pain and bloating), and assisting in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori.
