Overview

Qishi Shengjiang Guiyuan Granules (芪石升降归元颗粒) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound granule formulation developed and prepared by the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine. It is used in clinical practice as a hospital-prepared TCM product. The formula combines multiple herbal ingredients, with its name suggesting the inclusion of Astragalus (Huangqi), stone-based minerals, and herbs that "raise and lower" Qi to restore balance to the body's Yuan (original energy). Preclinical studies indicate potential effects in alleviating symptoms related to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including pulmonary and airway inflammation associated with GERD[7][9]. The mechanism is believed to involve multi-target regulation typical of TCM formulas; however, specific molecular targets or pathways have not been fully elucidated. The granule form allows for convenient oral administration[2].
