Qishu Tangshen Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Xiyuan Hospital. It is specifically designed for the treatment of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) in patients exhibiting the Qi and Yin deficiency pattern. The formulation is intended to tonify Qi and nourish Yin, addressing the underlying TCM pathological mechanisms of diabetic renal complications. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials in China to determine its efficacy in reducing proteinuria and slowing the progression of kidney damage in adult patients with DKD.
