Overview
Qiwei Fanghai granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Guangdong Yikang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. It is primarily investigated as an adjunctive therapy for patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) undergoing radiotherapy. The granules are designed to mitigate the acute toxicities associated with radiation treatment, such as oral mucositis, skin reactions, and xerostomia. As a "Qiwei" (seven-flavor) formula, it contains seven specific herbal ingredients selected for their properties in clearing heat, detoxifying, and nourishing body fluids to counteract the "fire-toxin" effects of radiation damage.
