Overview
Qiwei Guibao granules is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound formulation developed by Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical in collaboration with Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine. It is currently in Phase II clinical development for the treatment of primary ovarian insufficiency (POI) and early ovarian insufficiency (EOI) in women aged 18 to 40 years. The drug is specifically indicated for patients presenting with the kidney yin deficiency pattern according to TCM diagnostic criteria. The therapeutic objective of Qiwei Guibao granules is to restore ovarian function, normalize the menstrual cycle, and improve clinical symptoms associated with premature ovarian decline through a multi-component herbal approach that tonifies the kidney and regulates the reproductive axis.
