Overview
Qiwei Huiyang Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal preparation being evaluated for the treatment of organ injury following hemorrhagic shock. The formula is traditionally used to restore Yang and rescue patients from collapse, a state analogous to clinical shock. In modern clinical research, particularly at Wuxi No.9 People’s Hospital, it is being studied for its ability to mitigate multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) by potentially regulating inflammatory cytokines and reducing oxidative stress induced by ischemia-reperfusion. The decoction typically consists of seven primary herbal ingredients, including Ginseng and Prepared Aconite, which are thought to work synergistically to stabilize hemodynamics and protect vital organ function.
