Overview

Qixiao Granules (七效颗粒) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) botanical formulation developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Chinese Medicine. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of mild to moderate active ulcerative colitis, specifically targeting patients presenting with TCM syndromes of spleen deficiency with dampness or mixed cold-heat. The drug is administered orally as a granule formulation. Clinical development has reached Phase II in China, where studies focus on evaluating its efficacy in improving clinical symptoms and promoting mucosal healing in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. As a multi-component herbal preparation, it is intended to regulate gastrointestinal function and modulate inflammatory responses in the colonic mucosa.
