Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qixue Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in collaboration with Chengji (Zhuhai Hengqin) Pharmaceutical Technology. It is designed as an oral treatment for bone marrow suppression syndrome, a common and debilitating side effect following chemotherapy or radiotherapy in cancer patients. The formulation aims to stimulate hematopoietic recovery and restore blood cell counts (including leukocytes, erythrocytes, and platelets) by tonifying 'Qi' and 'Blood' according to TCM principles. It is currently in the preclinical development stage as part of the Shanghai TCM Science and Technology Innovation Project, focusing on providing supportive care for oncology patients undergoing cytotoxic treatments.
