Qizhi Weitong granules

Qizhi Weitong granules are a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound preparation approved by the China Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of functional dyspepsia. The formula contains six herbal ingredients—Radix bupleuri, Hovenia dulcis, Radix paeoniae alba (White Peony Root), Corydalis tuber, Sweet attached (likely Cyperus or Nutgrass Galingale Rhizome), and Main licorice (Glycyrrhizae Radix Et Rhizoma Praeparata Cum Melle). It is used to alleviate symptoms such as gastric pain, bloating, and discomfort associated with functional dyspepsia. Clinical studies have shown that Qizhi Weitong granules can significantly reduce dyspeptic symptoms and anxiety scores compared to placebo without increasing adverse effects[1][2][5]. The mechanism of action is believed to involve improvement of low-grade inflammation and enhancement of the mucosal barrier in the duodenum; however, precise molecular targets remain unclear[1].
