Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Qizhu formula is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal decoction developed by Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically investigated for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) during the perioperative period. The formula is primarily composed of botanical extracts, including *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huangqi) and *Atractylodes macrocephala* (Baizhu), which are traditionally used to tonify Qi and strengthen the spleen. In clinical research, Qizhu formula is evaluated for its potential to improve relapse-free survival (RFS) by modulating the tumor immune microenvironment and enhancing systemic anti-tumor immunity. It is often studied in combination with integrative therapies, such as acupuncture, to reduce the risk of recurrence and improve patient outcomes following surgery.
