Qizhu Jianwei Tea is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) developed and manufactured by Zhongshan Shaxi Pharmaceutical (formerly Zhongshan Shaxi Chinese Medicine Factory). It is formulated as a medicinal tea intended to strengthen the spleen, harmonize the stomach, and promote digestion. The formulation consists of seven herbal ingredients, typically including Hawthorn (Crataegi Fructus), Malt (Hordei Fructus Germinatus), Tangerine Peel (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Patchouli (Pogostemonis Herba), Poria, Licorice (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), and Rice Sprout (Setariae Fructus Germinatus). It is primarily indicated for the treatment of indigestion, loss of appetite, abdominal distension, and epigastric pain associated with spleen and stomach weakness. As an over-the-counter (OTC) medication in China, it is commonly used for the symptomatic relief of chronic gastritis and functional dyspepsia.
