Overview

Qizhu Yuling Prescription is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) composition developed for the prevention and treatment of postoperative recurrence and metastasis in patients with esophageal cancer. The formula is based on the core pathogenesis of "phlegm-qi obstruction" and "spleen deficiency" observed in postoperative cancer patients. It typically consists of nine primary raw materials: raw Astragalus membranaceus (Huangqi), fried Atractylodes macrocephala (Baizhu), vinegar-processed Curcuma (Ezhu), Curcuma (Yujin), Poria cocos (Fuling), Salvia chinensis (Shi Jianchuan), Clematis chinensis (Weilingxian), Hematite (Daizheshi), and Stalactite (Eguanshi). The prescription aims to invigorate the spleen, replenish qi, resolve phlegm, and dissipate stagnation. Clinical studies have evaluated its efficacy in improving quality of life and prolonging disease-free survival in esophageal cancer and triple-negative breast cancer.
