Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QL-115 is a peptide-based glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist developed by BioQingLam for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and obesity. The drug is formulated as a transdermal soluble microneedle patch, utilizing the company's proprietary delivery platform to provide a non-invasive alternative to subcutaneous injections. By activating the GLP-1 receptor, QL-115 stimulates insulin secretion, inhibits glucagon release, and slows gastric emptying, thereby improving glycemic control and promoting weight loss. It is currently in Phase III clinical development.
