Overview

QL-401 is a therapeutic protein candidate developed by BioQingLam for the treatment of various cancers. It is designed to target the Programmed Death-Ligand 1 (PD-L1) immune checkpoint, a protein frequently overexpressed by tumor cells to suppress the host's immune response. By binding to PD-L1, QL-401 blocks its interaction with the PD-1 receptor on T-cells, thereby reactivating the anti-tumor immune response. A key innovation of QL-401 is its delivery via BioQingLam's proprietary soluble microneedle patch technology. This transdermal delivery system is intended to provide a minimally invasive alternative to traditional intravenous infusions, potentially improving patient convenience and allowing for localized or systemic delivery of the protein therapeutic.
