Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QL-901 is a peptide-based glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist being developed by BioQingLam for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and obesity. The drug is administered via a soluble microneedle patch, a transdermal delivery system that allows the peptide to bypass the gastrointestinal tract and avoid the need for traditional subcutaneous injections. This technology is intended to improve patient compliance by providing a painless and user-friendly administration route. QL-901 is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
