Overview

QL1101 + paclitaxel + carboplatin is a combination therapy regimen consisting of QL1101, paclitaxel, and carboplatin, primarily used in the treatment of untreated locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). QL1101 is a biosimilar of bevacizumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby inhibiting angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels), which is crucial for tumor growth. Paclitaxel is a microtubule-stabilizing chemotherapeutic agent, promoting apoptosis by preventing cell division, while carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic that induces DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. This combination is administered during initial chemotherapy cycles, followed by maintenance QL1101 monotherapy for eligible patients[1][3][5][7].
