Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QL1203 is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). It is developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer. Mechanistically, it acts as an EGFR antagonist/modulator, inhibiting EGFR-mediated signaling pathways involved in tumor cell proliferation and survival. Preclinical and clinical studies have demonstrated its similarity to panitumumab (Vectibix), with comparable efficacy and safety profiles. The drug is administered intravenously and has been evaluated in combination with standard chemotherapy regimens such as mFOLFOX6 for first-line therapy in RAS wild-type metastatic colorectal cancer[1][2][3][5][9].
