QL1207H is a high-dose aflibercept biosimilar developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical. It is a recombinant fusion protein that functions as a soluble decoy receptor, binding to vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF-A), VEGF-B, and placental growth factor (PlGF). By sequestering these growth factors, QL1207H inhibits the activation of VEGF receptors, thereby suppressing pathological angiogenesis and reducing vascular permeability in the retina. It is currently being evaluated in Phase III clinical trials for the treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), specifically comparing its efficacy and safety to the 8 mg high-dose formulation of the reference product, Eylea.
