QL1701 + docetaxel is a combination therapy consisting of QL1701, a proposed biosimilar to trastuzumab, and the chemotherapeutic agent docetaxel. QL1701 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), which is overexpressed in certain cancers such as HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer. By binding to HER2, it inhibits downstream signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation and survival, induces cell cycle arrest, suppresses angiogenesis, and mediates antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity. Docetaxel is a small molecule taxane chemotherapeutic that promotes microtubule stabilization and disrupts mitosis. The combination has been studied as first-line therapy for patients with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer and has demonstrated equivalent efficacy and similar safety compared to reference trastuzumab plus docetaxel[1][2][4].
