Overview

QL1706 + carboplatin + etoposide is a **combination regimen** consisting of QL1706, a novel bifunctional antibody therapy targeting both PD-1 and CTLA-4, with established chemotherapeutic agents carboplatin and etoposide. QL1706 is created on the MabPair platform to co-produce anti-PD-1 IgG4 and anti-CTLA-4 IgG1 antibodies in a fixed ratio, engineered to optimize target coverage and reduce CTLA-4 related immunotoxicity through faster clearance. QL1706 acts as a dual immune checkpoint inhibitor, enhancing antitumor immune activity in several advanced solid tumors. Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy agent causing DNA crosslinking and apoptosis, while etoposide inhibits topoisomerase II, leading to DNA damage and cell death. The combination has shown promising efficacy, particularly in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and other solid tumors, with QL1706 currently in development for use in combination protocols[1][3][4][6][7].
