Overview

QL1706 + chemotherapy is a neoadjuvant treatment regimen being evaluated for stage II-III triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The regimen centers on QL1706 (iparomlimab/tuvonralimab), a first-in-class bifunctional antibody that simultaneously targets the Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) and Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte-Associated Protein 4 (CTLA-4) pathways. In this specific clinical protocol, QL1706 is combined with a chemotherapy backbone consisting of carboplatin and albumin-bound paclitaxel for four cycles, followed by QL1706 combined with an anthracycline (doxorubicin or epirubicin) and cyclophosphamide for an additional four cycles. This combination therapy aims to enhance the pathological complete response (pCR) rate by combining dual checkpoint inhibition with standard-of-care cytotoxic agents. The study is being conducted by the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University.
