Overview

QL1706 + nab-paclitaxel + carboplatin is a combination regimen comprising the bispecific antibody QL1706 (iparomlimab and tuvonralimab) and the chemotherapy agents nab-paclitaxel and carboplatin. QL1706, developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical, is designed to simultaneously inhibit the Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4) pathways, thereby enhancing the immune system's ability to detect and destroy tumor cells. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound formulation of paclitaxel that disrupts microtubule function, while carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy that causes DNA cross-linking. This combination is currently being investigated in a Phase II clinical trial as a first-line treatment for patients with SMARCA4-deficient, locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), a population often associated with poor prognosis and limited treatment options.
