QL1706 + nab-paclitaxel + cisplatin is a combination chemo-immunotherapy regimen being evaluated for the first-line treatment of advanced or metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The regimen consists of QL1706, a novel bifunctional antibody developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical that simultaneously targets the PD-1 and CTLA-4 immune checkpoints, combined with the cytotoxic agents nab-paclitaxel (an albumin-bound microtubule inhibitor) and cisplatin (a platinum-based DNA cross-linking agent). By combining dual checkpoint blockade with standard chemotherapy, the regimen aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses and improve clinical outcomes. A Phase 2 clinical trial (NCT05614323) sponsored by The First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology is currently investigating the efficacy and safety of this combination in patients with ESCC.
