QL2106

QL2106 is a biosimilar monoclonal antibody candidate being developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical for the treatment of plaque psoriasis. It is designed as a biosimilar to the reference product Tremfya (guselkumab), which targets the p19 subunit of interleukin-23 (IL-23). IL-23 is a key cytokine involved in the inflammatory response and the pathogenesis of immune-mediated diseases like psoriasis. By binding to IL-23, QL2106 inhibits its interaction with the IL-23 receptor, thereby reducing the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. The drug is administered via subcutaneous injection and is currently in Phase 1 clinical development to evaluate its pharmacokinetic equivalence, safety, and immunogenicity compared to the originator biologic.
