Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QLETLI is a biosimilar to adalimumab, developed and marketed by Bio-Thera Solutions. It is the first adalimumab biosimilar approved by the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and is indicated for several autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, plaque psoriasis, Crohn’s disease, and uveitis. QLETLI contains an anti-TNF-α monoclonal antibody with the same amino acid sequence as adalimumab (the reference drug). Its mechanism of action involves binding specifically to soluble and membrane-bound TNF-α and blocking its interaction with cell surface TNF receptors (p55 and p75), thereby neutralizing TNF-α bioactivity. Elevated levels of TNF-α are implicated in inflammatory processes central to these autoimmune diseases. QLETLI is supplied in prefilled syringes for subcutaneous injection[1][5][6][7][8].
