Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QLS2312 is a first-in-class bispecific antibody developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical that simultaneously targets a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL, also known as TNFSF13) and mannan-binding lectin-associated serine protease 2 (MASP-2). By blocking APRIL, QLS2312 suppresses the survival of plasma cells and the production of pathogenic IgA antibodies. Concurrently, by inhibiting MASP-2, it blocks the activation of the complement lectin pathway, thereby preventing downstream complement-mediated inflammatory damage. This dual-pathway mechanism is designed to address both the upstream antibody production and downstream complement activation in the pathogenesis of primary IgA nephropathy (IgAN). QLS2312 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in China for the treatment of IgA nephropathy.
