Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QMix is an endodontic irrigation solution, specifically marketed as "QMix 2-in-1", developed by Dentsply Tulsa, Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland. It is utilized in root canal treatments to facilitate disinfection, remove the smear layer and debris, and promote periapical healing. Clinical trials and in vitro studies have compared its efficacy in these aspects to other common irrigants such as sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). QMix has also been evaluated for its impact on the bond strength of adhesively luted glass fiber-reinforced composite posts to root dentin.
