Overview

QN-01 is a prescription inhaled nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) developed for smoking cessation. It is designed to deliver nicotine via pulmonary inhalation using the proprietary RespiRx drug/device platform, aiming to mimic the rapid nicotine delivery of combustible cigarettes and thereby better alleviate cravings and withdrawal symptoms compared to existing NRTs such as gums or patches. In Phase 1 clinical studies, QN-01 demonstrated dose-dependent pharmacokinetics with higher maximum plasma concentrations (Cmax) and faster time to peak concentration (Tmax) than current inhaled NRTs, suggesting a superior pharmacokinetic profile. The product was well tolerated in healthy adult smokers with no serious adverse events reported. Qnovia plans further development in both the US and UK regulatory pathways[1][3][4][6].
