QN-030a is an allogeneic natural killer (NK) cell therapy developed by Quacell Biotech for the treatment of hematological malignancies, specifically acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The therapy utilizes healthy donor-derived NK cells that are expanded and activated ex vivo before administration. These NK cells are designed to exert anti-tumor effects through innate immune recognition and the subsequent release of cytotoxic granules, such as perforin and granzymes, to induce apoptosis in malignant cells. Clinical development has targeted both minimal residual disease (MRD) and relapsed or refractory cases of AML, aiming to provide a graft-versus-leukemia effect without the need for patient-specific cell engineering.
