QR-02

QR-02 is a proprietary oral topical formulation developed for the treatment of oral leukoplakia with moderate to severe dysplasia, a potentially precancerous condition characterized by white patches or plaques in the mouth. The active ingredient in QR-02 is imiquimod, an immune response modifier already FDA-approved for actinic keratosis, external genital warts, and superficial basal cell carcinoma. Unlike traditional treatments that are quickly washed away by saliva, QR-02 uses a novel mucoadhesive technology designed to adhere to the oral mucosa for 12–24 hours, significantly increasing local drug exposure and efficacy. The goal of this therapy is to reduce or eliminate dysplasia in oral leukoplakia lesions and prevent progression to oral cancer. Bio-Convert ApS is advancing this product through clinical development with plans for pilot clinical trials[7].
