Drug intelligence / Profile preview
QR01019 is a small molecule antihypertensive agent being developed by Wuhan Langlai Technology Development Co., Ltd. for the treatment of primary hypertension. It is a potassium salt formulation designed to be bioequivalent to azilsartan kamedoxomil (brand name Edarbi). As an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), it selectively binds to the AT1 receptor, inhibiting the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II, thereby lowering blood pressure. Clinical development has included open-label, randomized crossover bioequivalence trials in healthy adults to evaluate its pharmacokinetics, food effect, and safety profile compared to the reference drug azilsartan kamedoxomil.
