QRX009

QRX009 is a proprietary topical formulation of rapamycin (sirolimus) being developed by Quoin Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of rare, disfiguring vascular and skin conditions, including Microcystic Lymphatic Malformations (MLM), Venous Malformations, and Angiofibroma. As a small molecule mTOR inhibitor, QRX009 works by binding to and inhibiting the mTOR signaling pathway, which plays a critical role in cell growth and angiogenesis and is frequently dysregulated in these malformations. The drug is designed with a specialized delivery system to optimize local skin penetration and deliver rapamycin directly to the affected dermal layers while minimizing systemic absorption. Quoin Pharmaceuticals plans to submit Investigational New Drug (IND) applications to begin clinical development in the first half of 2026.
