Overview
QS-X is a next-generation, saponin-based vaccine adjuvant ingredient currently in the early research and development (R&D) stage by SaponiQx. It is produced using a proprietary cultured plant cell platform, which aims to provide a sustainable and scalable alternative to traditional extraction from the bark of the *Quillaja saponaria* tree. As a component of the SaponiQx pipeline, QS-X is designed to be formulated with vaccine antigens to enhance and modulate the immune response. While specific molecular targets are not disclosed, saponin adjuvants typically function by stimulating antigen-presenting cells and promoting both cellular and humoral immunity.
