Overview

QT-019C is an investigational universal allogeneic (off-the-shelf) CAR T-cell therapy being developed by The Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University for the treatment of refractory autoimmune diseases, specifically systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and inflammatory myopathy (IM). Unlike autologous CAR T-cell therapies that use a patient's own cells, QT-019C utilizes T cells derived from healthy donors, which are engineered to express chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) targeting both CD19 and B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA). This dual-targeting strategy is intended to achieve deep and comprehensive depletion of the B-cell lineage, including mature B cells and long-lived plasma cells, which are key drivers of autoantibody production in these diseases. The therapy is administered as a single intravenous infusion following lymphodepleting chemotherapy.
