Overview

QT-219C is an investigational universal allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy that simultaneously targets CD19 and B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA). Developed by The Second Hospital of Anhui Medical University, this cell therapy is being evaluated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA). By targeting CD19, which is expressed on B cells, and BCMA, which is expressed on plasma cells, QT-219C aims to comprehensively deplete the cell populations responsible for producing pathogenic autoantibodies. As an allogeneic (universal) therapy, it is manufactured from healthy donor T cells, potentially offering an off-the-shelf treatment option compared to traditional autologous CAR-T therapies.
