Qu Xie Jiao Nang

Qu Xie Jiao Nang (also known as Quxie capsule) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed at Xiyuan Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is formulated based on the traditional "Yinyanggongji pill" from the ancient text "Yizong Bidu" and has been used clinically for the treatment of advanced and metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). The capsule is composed of multiple TCM herbs (including Croton tiglium, Evodia rutaecarpa, Rhizoma zingiberis, Cinnamomum cassia, Radix aconiti, Pinellia ternata, and Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, among others). It is designed to warm Yang, dredge the intestines, eliminate pathogenic factors, and stimulate the body's healthy Qi (Zheng Qi). Studies suggest that Qu Xie Jiao Nang can modulate the gut microbiome, enhance T-cell immune responses (such as increasing CD4+ T helper cells and CD8+ cytotoxic T cells), and promote tumor cell apoptosis, potentially through the upregulation of FOXO1.
