QuadraMune

QuadraMune is a multi-ingredient dietary supplement designed to support immune health and provide protection against viral infections, most notably SARS-CoV-2. Developed by StarWise Therapeutics in collaboration with researchers from Oregon State University and the University of Pittsburgh, the formulation consists of four primary phytochemicals: sulforaphane, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), quercetin, and pterostilbene. The mechanism of action involves a multi-pronged approach: EGCG and quercetin are intended to inhibit the binding of the viral spike protein to the host's ACE2 receptor and interfere with the 3CLpro viral protease, while sulforaphane and pterostilbene serve as potent activators of the Nrf2 signaling pathway, which upregulates antioxidant enzymes and reduces systemic inflammation. Although marketed as a nutritional supplement, it was specifically studied for its potential to mitigate the severity of COVID-19.
