Quadrinone (also known as CP102) is a topical bioactive compound developed by Centaur Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions and skin aging. It belongs to a class of molecules known as "spin traps" (specifically nitrones), which are designed to capture and neutralize reactive oxygen species (ROS) and free radicals. By stabilizing these highly reactive species before they can initiate inflammatory cascades or oxidative damage, Quadrinone aims to block the molecular events that lead to skin degradation and "problem skin." It was primarily formulated as a topical therapeutic product for dermatological applications.
