Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a non-infectious recombinant vaccine composed of virus-like particles (VLPs) derived from the L1 capsid proteins of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) types 6, 11, 16, and 18. It functions by stimulating the immune system to produce specific antibodies against these HPV types, thereby preventing infection and subsequent HPV-related diseases. The vaccine is indicated for the prevention of cervical cancer, vulvar and vaginal precancer and cancers, precancerous lesions, and genital warts associated with HPV types 6, 11, 16, and 18.
