Overview

The quadrivalent influenza split vaccine developed by Anhui Zhifei Longkema Biopharmaceutical is an inactivated split virion vaccine designed for the prevention of seasonal influenza. It contains antigens from four influenza virus strains: two A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). By presenting antigenic epitopes from these split virus particles, the vaccine stimulates the immune system to produce hemagglutination inhibition (HI) antibodies, providing broader protection than trivalent vaccines. It was approved in China in March 2025 and has been evaluated in clinical trials for safety and immunogenicity in populations including children aged 6-35 months.
