Quadrivalent Influenza Split Vaccine (Zhejiang Tianyuan)

The Quadrivalent Influenza Split Vaccine (Zhejiang Tianyuan) is an inactivated, split-virion vaccine developed by Zhejiang Tianyuan Biopharmaceuticals (Toyouvax) for the prevention of seasonal influenza. It is formulated to provide protection against four distinct influenza virus strains: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). The vaccine works by introducing purified hemagglutinin antigens from these strains, which stimulate the host's immune system to produce specific antibodies. This quadrivalent formulation offers broader coverage compared to trivalent vaccines by including both B-virus lineages. It is approved in China (Approval No. S20250038) for intramuscular administration.
