Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IL-YANG Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine is an inactivated, split-virion vaccine developed by Il-Yang Pharmaceutical for the prevention of seasonal influenza. It is designed to provide broad protection by targeting four distinct influenza virus strains: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). The vaccine works by inducing the production of neutralizing antibodies against the viral hemagglutinin protein, thereby preventing viral entry and infection. It is administered via intramuscular injection and has been evaluated in Phase III clinical trials for safety and immunogenicity in both adults and pediatric populations, subsequently receiving approval in South Korea.
