Overview

This quadrivalent inactivated influenza split-virion vaccine (IIV4) is developed and manufactured by Jiangsu GDK Biotechnology (also known as Jiangsu Jindike). It is designed to provide broad protection against seasonal influenza by including antigens from four distinct virus strains: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). Each 0.5 mL dose contains 15 μg of hemagglutinin per strain, totaling 60 μg. The vaccine works by inducing a protective immune response, specifically the production of neutralizing antibodies against the viral hemagglutinin. It is administered via intramuscular injection and is approved in China for use in adults and children aged 3 years and older.
