Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Quadrivalent recombinant human papillomavirus vaccine** is a prophylactic HPV vaccine marketed in China as **爱薇佳**. It was jointly developed by Chengdu Institute of Biological Products and China National Biotec Group Research Institute. The vaccine consists of virus-like particles composed of recombinant L1 major capsid proteins from human papillomavirus types 6, 11, 16, and 18, each expressed in *Hansenula polymorpha* yeast, and adsorbed to an aluminum hydroxide adjuvant. It is administered by intramuscular injection to induce type-specific neutralizing antibody responses that prevent persistent infection with these HPV types and associated disease, including cervical precancer and cancer caused by HPV16 and HPV18 and anogenital warts associated with HPV6 and HPV11. The product received National Medical Products Administration approval in China in September 2025. ([cdibp.com](https://www.cdibp.com/Products/show?id=kCp5QFuPhoiyLw))
