Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The quadrivalent VLP vaccine is a recombinant virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine candidate developed by Novavax for seasonal influenza. It is designed to present four different strains of influenza virus, each expressing strain-specific hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) antigens. VLPs are non-infectious, mimicking the virus structure without containing genetic material, thereby stimulating an immune response without causing disease. The vaccine aims to evaluate its immunogenicity and safety in healthy adults.
