Overview
Quan Sanqi tablets are a botanical drug candidate developed by Yunnan Baiyao Group, derived from the medicinal herb *Panax notoginseng* (Sanqi). The formulation is designed to utilize the therapeutic properties of the whole Sanqi plant, which is rich in bioactive saponins such as notoginsenosides and ginsenosides. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of xinmai yuzhu syndrome (heart vessel stasis and obstruction syndrome) within the framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This condition typically correlates with Western medical diagnoses such as stable angina pectoris or coronary heart disease. The therapeutic effects of the tablets are attributed to their ability to inhibit platelet aggregation, reduce inflammatory responses, and improve myocardial microcirculation. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 2 clinical evaluation in China to assess its efficacy and safety in adults with the specified TCM syndrome.
