KD-332, commercially known as Quattrovac, is a quadrivalent combination vaccine developed by The Chemo-Sero-Therapeutic Research Institute (Kaketsuken) and currently managed by KM Biologics. It is indicated for the active immunization of infants and children against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and poliomyelitis. The vaccine formulation includes diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, acellular pertussis components (pertussis toxoid and filamentous hemagglutinin), and inactivated poliovirus (IPV) types 1, 2, and 3. Notably, Quattrovac utilizes Sabin-strain derived inactivated poliovirus (s-IPV), making it the first vaccine of its kind in Japan to facilitate the transition from live oral polio vaccines (OPV) to inactivated polio vaccines, thereby eliminating the risk of vaccine-associated paralytic poliomyelitis (VAPP). It is typically administered via subcutaneous injection as part of the routine pediatric immunization schedule in Japan.
