Overview

Quercus garryana pollen, also known as Oregon White Oak pollen or Garry oak pollen, is a natural substance derived from the Quercus garryana tree. It is a potent allergen that can trigger allergic reactions such as allergic rhinitis and asthma in sensitized individuals. When processed into allergenic extracts, it is used as a pharmaceutical agent for both diagnostic skin testing to identify specific allergies and for allergen immunotherapy (AIT) to desensitize patients and reduce the severity of their allergic symptoms.
