Overview
Bipresso is a branded, extended-release formulation of **quetiapine fumarate**, an atypical antipsychotic developed for the **treatment of depressive symptoms associated with bipolar disorder**. Quetiapine acts on multiple neurotransmitter receptors in the brain, most notably as an **antagonist at serotonin 5-HT2A and dopamine D2 receptors**, and exhibits affinity for other receptors including histamine H1 and adrenergic alpha1/alpha2.
