Overview

QuickStrip CBD is a cannabidiol (CBD) delivery product developed by Rapid Dose Therapeutics using its proprietary QuickStrip™ oral thin film technology. The product consists of a thin, fast-dissolving film infused with micronized CBD isolate, designed for sublingual or buccal administration. This delivery method allows the active ingredient to be absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the oral mucosa, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract and first-pass metabolism in the liver, which is intended to improve bioavailability and provide a more rapid onset of action compared to traditional oral formats. As of 2024, the product is being evaluated in a bioavailability study in collaboration with the University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan, with funding from the National Football League (NFL) to explore its potential in pain management and neuroprotection for contact sports.
